Bookings
The City of Melbourne Bowls Club is available for bookings. With its beautiful surrounds, friendly ambience and central location it is the perfect place to host your work and social events.
Our function space can seat up to 120, or up to 200 if organized as a limited seating/cocktail event. This space is also ideal for corporate conferences and seminars, with excellent AV facilities.
Wedding receptions and birthday parties are also ideally suited to our beautiful Lounge area. The club also prides itself on its comprehensive list of quality wines.

All bookings are subject to our Terms and Conditions and the payment of a deposit/bond
Preferred catering arrangements:
Bowls cost $140 per rink for three hours, maximum of 8 people can play on one rink at a time ( two teams of 4). You need to wear flat soled shoes, bare feet or thongs to bowl. We provide the bowls, mats, jacks and tuition. There is no smoking or drinking whilst on the playing surface.
During November and December the rink hire is $160 per rink for a three (3) hour period ( eight people).
*Please note a usage fee of $10 per person may be payable for non bowlers attending events.
For less than ten people the cost is $17.50 per person. $20 per person in Nov/Dec
The BBQs can be hired for $100; this amounts drops to $30 if the bbq is cleaned to our exacting standards after use. Please note we do not provide paper plates, plastic cutlery and napkins, you must bring these along if required. We do supply bbq tools and cleaning supplies.
A deposit is payable for all bookings and the deposit is held until the end of the booking and maybe withheld by the club if the bbq area is not cleaned appropriately and rubbish disposed of or if the bowls, mats and jacks are not packed away correctly.
The Lounge hire is available. The Lounge hire gives you exclusive use of this room, its AV facilities ( at an additional cost), the commercial kitchen and fully staffed private bar. This room is ideal for sit down meals (120), a cocktail party (200), seminar or conference. Crockery and Cutlery hire is also available.
The deposit paid on the Lounge hire is held as a bond to ensure that the kitchen and the room are cleaned and left in an appropriate state as per the terms and conditions of hire.
Our preferred caterer Spitting Image would be able to provide appropriate food for the occasion. Please talk to Mark Longmuir as per the attachment.
We have an extensive bar available and you can set up a tab if desired. We accept all major credit cards. ( 5% surcharge applies to AMEX and Diners)
DUE TO LICENSING REQUIREMENTS WE DO REQUIRE A GUEST LIST FOR ALL FUNCTIONS AT THE CITY OF MELBOURNE BOWLS CLUB. OTHERWISE EACH GUEST MUST SIGN IN INDIVIDUALLY ON ARRIVAL
Bookings are not confirmed unless signed terms and conditions are received and the applicable deposit is paid. These can be faxed to 8329 0299 or sent electronically. Deposits can be paid by phone on 8329 0211
for bookings and enquiries over the holiday season, please use the email as the office will not always be attended.
LATE JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH ARE FILLING FAST, ESPECIALLY IN THE EVENING FOR CORPORATE BOWLS EVENTS.
CONSIDER THE CITY MAZDA SUMMER BOWLS SERIES, IT RUNS EVERY WEDNESDAY NIGHT IN FEB/MAR, PUT A TEAM TOGETHER AND JOIN IN THE FUN.
